Harold Wayne Porter, 66, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 19, 1946 in Booneville, Arkansas to Harold Damon and Jewell Maureen Harrison Porter.
Harold was retired from the Baldor Electric Company in Fort Smith Arkansas and was a antique dealer following his retirement. He was a member of the Mixon Baptist Church and was in the Air Force serving during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed collecting antiques, mowing the lawn and most of all spending time and bragging on his grandson and family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Darla Porter and his father, Harold Porter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial in Bud Davis Cemetery near the Grayson community near Booneville, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Sawyer and husband Donald of Van Buren, Arkansas; two brothers, Art Porter of Booneville, Arkansas and Larry Porter of Booneville, Arkansas; one grandson, Tom Sawyer of Van Buren, Arkansas; mother Jewell Porter of Booneville, Arkansas.
The pallbearers will be Tom Sawyer, Donald Sawyer, Larry Porter, Art Porter, Micah Porter, Warren Porter, and Steve White.
